12/11 Ryan’s “Rollercoaster” Thursday Morning Forecast

This morning was a touch warmer than yesterday, but this afternoon will be noticeably cooler as we ride the weather rollercoaster.

People often joke about the weather “rollercoaster” we often see in late fall, and this week in particular has been a textbook example. Today is also a good example thanks to yesterday’s weak front. This morning’s low was an average of about 5° warmer at 39° than Tuesday and Wednesday morning, which fell into the frosty low-to-mid 30s. Interestingly enough, despite the warmer start we’ll see a much cooler afternoon ahead later today with sunny skies and a cool high near 58°. That’s a solid 10° cooler than yesterday, but just to drive home that rollercoaster analogy we’ll be another ten warmer by tomorrow afternoon as return flow sets up ahead of another front warming things up for the weekend!
