12/11 – Jeff Vorick’s “Winter Pattern” Monday Night Forecast

Temperatures will drop a few more degrees overnight as a cold airmass continues to be in place. Clear skies and light winds have allowed for efficient cooling. Some thin cloud cover could halt some of the cooling but bottom line is it will be quite cold out the door tomorrow. Some spots could deal with frost/borderline freeze conditions.

Thin upper-level clouds gradually make their way into the area beginning tomorrow. Winds will begin to elevate as well thanks to a developing area of low pressure over the southwestern gulf. The cool-to-cold pattern will not change quickly this week so expect much of the same, with maybe some milder morning temperatures later in the week. Rain looks to arrive towards the weekend but details need to be sorted out.
