12/02 – Brantly’s “Cold” Monday Afternoon Forecast

Cool and clear today across the Gulf Coast. Sunny skies will continue through the afternoon with a high temperature near 55. Tonight will be the coldest night of the week. Temperatures drop to around freezing – in the lower 30s along the coast, and in the upper 20s for inland areas away from the water.

Right now, we are not anticipating a hard freeze, but temperatures will sit at or just below freezing for a couple hours. As always when it gets cold, you should check on the elderly, protect your pipes, and make sure pets have a warm place to stay.

We will gradually warm up through the week as clouds start to filter back into the region and moisture slowly returns. However, temperatures will stay slightly below normal for this time of the year.  Our next chance for rain will be on Friday.
