11/6 – Sam Parker’s “New Record Heat” Wednesday Midday Forecast

It’s another warm one out there across South MS, and while we had record breaking heat during the forecast. Our afternoon high of 87 is only 14° above normal, so we remain consistently warmer and more humid than we should be. I do expect some slight cooling over the rest of the week as cloud cover and rain chances inch up slightly, but they won’t climb above 20% until the weekend. Even then it looks like it’ll only go up to 30% before things dry out next week. Tropics: things look a little better for South MS with Hurricane Rafael. The latest forecasts push it a little further westward, and was upgraded to a Major Hurricane which makes it our 5th major hurricane of the season. Rafael looking less likely to impact the U.S.
