11/6 – Jeff Vorick’s “Dense Fog Overnight” Sunday Night Forecast

Tonight will be another mild night with the overall-moist airmass hanging around. With light winds and abundant moisture, expect dense fog to develop. A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect overnight until 9 AM Monday morning. The setup for overnight/early-morning fog will be in place for Tuesday morning as well.

A near-record warm day is on tap for Monday. Once the fog lifts, clear skies will allow for a quick warm-up. Highs will reach the 80s and winds will be out of the East at 10 to 15 MPH. Cloud coverage will increase in the afternoon. With the daytime heating, position in the flow, and sufficient moisture, there is a 20% chance of showers in the afternoon. Winds will relax overnight which will provide for another fog setup into Tuesday morning. Tuesday will lend itself to more near-record warmth.

The pattern will slightly moderate during mid-week. High pressure to our northeast will usher in drier air. Morning lows will be cooler and there will be an overall-drier airmass in place. An area of low pressure will be moving into the coast of Florida during the latter half of the workweek. The area of low pressure interacting with high pressure to our northeast will create a tighter pressure gradient. This will contribute to breezier conditions in our area.

The week will end on a dry note. Temperatures will be slightly above seasonal through Friday. A strong cold front will move in Friday ushering in huge changes to our weather.
