11/18 – Jeff’s “Rain Tomorrow” Friday Night Forecast

Temperatures have tumbled since sunset. 30s are being reported across the majority of our sites, with the exception of Gulfport and Biloxi. Clouds will be on the increase overnight with mostly cloudy skies after midnight. Temperatures will level off around midnight with the increasing clouds.

A cold front will pass through the area just before sunrise. There won’t be any weather directly associated with its passage. However, a system to our west will be the culprit for increasing cloud coverage tonight. The airmass immediately behind the cold front being slightly cooler will help lower the clouds.

More moisture will build in by the middle of the day tomorrow. Rain will begin around Noon as a drizzle. It will become steadier through the afternoon. The persistent rain will continue through the evening. The cold airmass associated with the cold front will arrive Saturday night, taking the low-level moisture away and leading to winds increasing. Gusty winds will carry through until Sunday.

Sunday will have mostly cloudy skies with winds relaxing as the day progresses. A slow warm-up will begin Monday. Another system will move past our area Monday into Tuesday bringing a 30% chance of rain. Ahead of another frontal system, temperatures will be reaching towards 70 degrees by Thanksgiving!
