11/11 – The Chief’s “Veterans Day” Afternoon Forecast
The main effect of this afternoon’s cold front will be showers and a few t-storms possible. Although the atmosphere is rather stable, a few lightning strokes and isolated t-storms are possible. The weather will move east this evening as the front moves through south Mississippi. Clouds will then begin to slowly clear as a north wind will usher in a drier air mass.
The coldest of the air mass won’t move in until Saturday with breezy conditions through the day. Another upper-level disturbance is expected to swing through Sunday night. This front will be dry as they move through the area due to very limited moisture associated with the deep layer northwest flow pattern in place.
High temps will also modify with highs climbing from the lower 60s on Saturday into the upper 60s and lower 70s by Tuesday.
