11/11 Ryan’s “Damp & Dreary” Veteran’s Day Forecast

Expect a damp & dreary start to the week, but things will be much more "fall-like" by the end of it.

The rain became a little more consistent over the weekend after a week of off-and-on showers, leaving things damp & dreary as we start off this week. The thicker cloud cover and rain did cool things down yesterday and for this morning, dropping lows to the upper 60s and low 70s, cooler than last week but still considerably above normal. Highs will only climb into the upper 70s thanks to the early rain, which is a big improvement over last week’s highs in the mid-to-upper 80s. Showers will be all wrapped up by noon, with cloudy skies slowly giving way into the night. That’ll give us slightly less grey skies Tuesday, but rain returns Wednesday ahead of an actual frontal passage Thursday morning.

Tropics: The Central American Gyre continues to generate potential areas of development this season, with a new 40% area we’ll be watching all week in the Western Caribbean.
