11/06 – Brantly’s “Rainy Thursday” Wednesday Afternoon Forecast

Another warm day is on tap for South Mississippi. High temperatures will warm up to the upper 70s this afternoon with some areas hitting 80 degrees. Skies will remain mostly clear aside from a few upper-level clouds rolling through.

Cloud coverage and humidity will increase overnight. Some patchy fog is expected to develop late and last through the mid-morning hours. Rain chances on Thursday go up to around 70 percent in the afternoon hours as showers and a few thunderstorms move across the area ahead of a cold front.

A few showers may linger into Friday morning and clouds should start to break up by Friday evening as temperatures start to drop.

Going into the weekend, a cooler and drier airmass will be in place. High temperatures will be in the 60s and lows will be in the upper 30s or lower 40s through Veterans Day.
