11/01 Ryan’s “Grey & Misty” Friday Morning Forecast

Grey and much warmer than it should be for the first of November as yesterday's front lingers in the area.

Expect to head out for your morning commute with grey skies and misty, damp weather across South Mississippi. Yesterday did see a little rain in the area in addition to our grey skies, though most saw only a few sprinkles. We’re still seeing those lingering sprinkles/showers this morning thanks to a stalled front, that’ll slowly break down and lift northward as the day goes on. That means those grey skies aren’t going anywhere, but we will see the rain dry up just in time for the Friday night lights.

Today’s low for the coastal areas lingered near 74 degrees, with inland areas staying a few degrees cooler. This afternoon will once again warm into the low 80s, near 83 in Gulfport, and only slightly warmer inland thanks to our cloudy skies. While I expect a bit more sun and a few degrees of cooling for Saturday, don’t expect any real noticeable change to our weather for at least the next week and a half. It’ll remain consistently grey and cloudy, warm, and humid.

Tropics: The potential for tropical development was bumped up to 70% in the Caribbean today, meaning we’ll likely see at least a Tropical Depression by the start of next week. There’s still no consistency in track/intensity forecasts, so continue to stay tuned for more as it takes shape over the next few days.
