10/7 – Rob Knight’s “Pleasant Changes For The Weekend” Friday Afternoon Forecast
After a warm and humid afternoon, a cold front will move into and through the area just before midnight. Winds will shift to a northerly direction and partly cloudy skies are expected. Temperatures will remain on the mild side with mid 60s in the area overnight due to the cooler and drier airmass lagging behind. The lack of any moisture will keep rain chances at bay.
Saturday will bring breezy conditions behind the cold front. Temperatures will manage to rise to the low to mid 80s with a north wind around 10 to 15 MPH, with occasional higher gusts. Skies will be mostly clear with a few upper-level clouds. By Sunday morning, the drier and cooler air is in place with high pressure to our north taking control. Morning lows will be in the mid to upper 50s and breezy conditions continuing. Highs will be around 80 for the viewing area.
By early next week, a slow modification of the airmass will take place. High pressure will move to the east, changing our winds to east and southeast. A slow warm up is expected along with the humidity increasing. By midweek, temperatures will be in the mid-80s with more humidity and rain chances finally arriving for the area.
