10/6 – Brittany Warden’s “Approaching Cold Front” Thursday Evening Forecast

A mild weather pattern has been across the area today and for the remainder of the workweek. The area of high pressure is in place to the east of us and winds have been out of the south. Another mild night is expected with mid-60s expected across the viewing area under mostly clear conditions and a light southerly breeze.

Tomorrow will be slightly warmer with mid and isolated upper-80s in the viewing area. Skies will be partly cloudy with feels-like temperatures around 90. Winds will shift to southwesterly ahead of a cold front. The front is expected to pass through the area overnight Friday into Saturday. A slight chance of a passing shower associated with the cold front cannot be ruled out.

Breezy conditions will be expected Saturday and Sunday. Expect partly cloudy skies Saturday with more clearing Saturday night into Sunday. Drier air will move into the region and morning low temperatures will cool into the mid-to-upper 50s. High pressure behind the cold front will take hold on our weather pattern. Expect highs in the low-80s with breezy north winds. A slow warm-up will take place early next week thanks to the high pressure moving further east. Winds will turn easterly, then southerly and humidity will return by mid-week.
