10/28 Ryan’s “Foggy” Monday Morning Forecast

Our mornings have gotten warmer and warmer as moisture moves in, leading to a foggy start to the week today.

We were right on the edge of foggy morning weather by the end of last week, but we’re starting this week off with it firmly in place. It has become particularly noticeable after the 6 AM hour as we cooled as much as we could, leading to areas of little to no visibility on some of our weather cameras across the area. So please, give yourself some extra time for your morning commute as things should be moving more slowly, and give yourself plenty of time to stop should visibility suddenly drop. These advisories last until 9 AM, at which point we should warm sufficiently far away from the dewpoint, clearing the fog at the surface. That moisture isn’t really going anywhere though, so get ready for another sunny, more summer-like afternoon with highs in the mid-to-upper 80s across South MS. Expect similar weather for the next few days.

Tropics

No relevant changes to our local area with regard to the tropics, but an area of interest in the Caribbean may become our next named storm, Patty, as we begin November.
