10/24 — Brantly’s “Rainy Friday” Thursday Morning Forecast

Showers and thunderstorms will move into the region tonight as a cold front collides with a tropical wave over the Gulf of Mexico. Skies will start off partly cloudy this morning… becoming mostly cloudy or overcast in the afternoon. High temperatures today will top out at around 74 degrees.

Rain should hold off today for the most part but rain chances will go up to around 80 percent tonight and then 90 percent on Friday. It will most likely be a steady rain throughout the day tomorrow. Most areas in South Mississippi will end up picking up an inch or two inches of rain. Some of those showers may linger into the first half of Saturday as well before that cold front passes.

Even though it is a “cold” front, temperatures won’t take a big hit. Daytime high temperatures will stay in the mid 70s for the next several days with overnight lows in the lower 60s to upper 50s.
