10/23 — Brantly’s “Cool, Calm, and Clear” Wednesday Afternoon Forecast

Low humidity and cool temperatures are making for a pleasant day across South Mississippi. High temperatures today will top out in the lower to mid 70s under sunny skies.

Clear skies will continue tonight with low temperatures dropping to the lower 50s along the coast and upper 40s inland by early morning. High temperatures will be in the mid 70s again Thursday.

Clouds will slowly start to filter into the area Thursday afternoon and evening as moisture flows into the region from the Gulf. A tropical wave will collide with a frontal boundary over the northwestern Gulf of Mexico on Friday, providing rain coverage for most of the viewing area. Rain will be steady most of the day and night Friday, eventually tapering off by Saturday afternoon. About 1-2 inches of rain can be expected.
