10/19 – Brittany’s “Winter-Feel” Wednesday Night Forecast
Temperatures will once again drop off very quickly after sunset, with the mercury dropping into the mid-40s around midnight, upper 30s to low 40s for overnight lows. Expect areas of patchy frost north of the interstate. Overall a pleasant late-October night on-tap with a starfilled and moonlit sky.
Thursday starts a moderation trend as the cold and dry airmass begins to dissipate. High pressure moves to our east and winds will shift to more southerly throughout the day. Temperatures will reach the low-70s and winds will be out of the southeast at 5 to 10 MPH.
The warm-up continues through the end of the week and by this weekend, seasonal temperatures are in store for the area. Skies will have a few clouds but the weather will be tranquil. By early next week, there will be the potential for a frontal passage. Models are in disagreement over how much moisture and instability there will be to work with. But, there is a 40% chance of rain in place for Monday, and a 50% chance of rain Tuesday. We will continue to update the forecast.
