10/17 – Brittany’s “Colder Temperatures Ahead” Monday Night Forecast

As of this evening, the cold front has officially passed through our area with breezy conditions in store for the remainder of the evening. Temperatures will quickly cool off tonight into the 40s, as skies will rapidly clear. Elevated winds from this afternoon will continue to gust to 15-20 MPH tonight. With a dominant north wind, strong cold air will advect into the area. This will lead to very cold morning low temperatures tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday morning. More than likely north of the interstate will experience the first frost of the season.

Tuesday will be a sunny day with high temperatures only making it into the 60s. It will remain breezy with 10-20 MPH winds. With an extremely dry airmass and elevated winds, a Fire Weather Watch is in place tomorrow and Wednesday. Burning should not take place this week.
