10/07 – Brantly’s “Scattered Storms” Monday Midday Forecast
After a long dry spell, rain has finally returned to some areas on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will be possible throughout the afternoon and early evening on Wednesday ahead of a cold front. Rain chance will be around 40-50 percent in the afternoon and early evening. Otherwise, partly to mostly cloudy skies can be expected with high temperatures topping out in the upper 80s.
The rain clears out by Tuesday morning leaving us with mostly sunny skies and lower humidity. Slightly cooler temperatures are forecast for through the middle of the week. On Tuesday and Wednesday, overnight lows will be in the mid 60s with daily high temperatures in the mid 80s.
Humid air will filter back into the region by Thursday as a stationary front sits over the northern Gulf of Mexico, increasing moisture flow along the coast. Another cold front will move through as we head into the weekend, and temperatures will drop to around seasonal averages with daytime highs in the 70s Sunday and Monday.
