10/01 Ryan’s “Hot October” Friday Evening Forecast

Still hot and humid as we head into October, but we will see a small cool-down by the middle of next week.

October has arrived, but anyone who’s lived in South Mississippi for a while knows it’s still likely to be hot…and humid. We will see a bit of a break as a cold front moves in next week, but that doesn’t do much for tonight. Expect more patchy fog, particularly inland, with a slightly warmer low near 72.

Tomorrow afternoon’s high will still be above average at 82, but I’m expecting a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms that’ll cool things down.

Don’t expect anything serious, but thunderstorms are certainly possible. The active weather will continue through the weekend and into Monday, tapering off quickly as the front crawls through. Highs and lows will still run slightly hot for October, but we will see an improvement over the last few days and see plenty of sun.
