$1.2 Billion Settlement in New Orleans

The City of New Orleans has reached a $1.2 billion agreement with federal authorities to repair roads and other infrastructure damaged during Hurricane Katrina.
Mayor Mitch Landrieu said there have been many discussions to determine what damage could be attributed to the 2005 hurricane.
The $1.2 billion settlement brings the total amount of funding to more than $2 billion.
