09/21 – Steve’s Midday Forecast
As dry air continues to be dominant across the southeastern U.S., our weather has been excellent today. However, a more ‘standard’ or familiar pattern resumes Thursday, as isolated afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms come back the rest of the week.
Friday also sees return flow set up across our area: those southerly breezes dragging along abundant Gulf moisture. This will be setting us up for greater rain chances (in the 50-percent range) early next week.
Temperature-wise, we’ll be above normal and in the lower 90s until early next week for daytime highs. Overnight lows will be near 70, if not warmer.
