09/06 Ryan’s “Drying Trend” Thursday Night Forecast

We’ve seen a tropical storm pass nearby and plenty of rain, but tonight will begin a drying trend in South MS. By the time our evening newscasts ended, the showers and thunderstorms were already dwindling.

THE CLOUD COVER WILL STICK AROUND A LITTLE LONGER THAN THE RAIN, BUT THE WEEKEND IS LOOKING A LITTLE HOTTER AND MUCH MORE SUNNY.

Skies will gradually clear to mostly sunny by Saturday with an afternoon high in the low 90s and a low chance of afternoon rain. That’s the nicest it’ll get though, because a cold front is moving in and it’s going to bring the rain back to start next week. Shower chances will rise to around 40% on Sunday as the front pushes in, and we won’t see a day with lower chances until Wednesday. At that point the clouds will clear a bit and showers will be few and far between.
