08/28 Ryan’s “Driest” Tuesday Evening Forecast

Today was the driest day we’ll see all week despite an inch and a half of rain that fell here at the station if that tells you anything.

Expect the cloud cover to be thicker and the rain chances to be higher each afternoon through the weekend.

Rain totals for this week can be locally high, but on average I’m only expecting between 1.5-2″ through Saturday. So that means outside of a little rain each afternoon, we’ll continue to see hot and humid conditions with heat indices as high as 100 degrees on the waterfront.

This trend holds all the way through Sunday, but as we head into Labor Day it looks like the skies clear significantly and rain chances fall by half.

Overall the next several days look only slightly rainier than a typical summer afternoon, but beautiful conditions will move in by the start of the next workweek.
