08/20 Ryan’s “Finally Cooler” Tuesday Morning Forecast

We're heading deeper into summer, but it's finally cooling outside!

That’s right, we may be heading deeper into summer, but for the next few days it’s finally cooler and even a little drier! Let’s go ahead and temper those expectations now though, it is not going to be “cool” by any stretch of the imagination, in fact, it’ll still be above our 91-degree normal for this time of year at 94, but it will feel so much better thanks to the lower humidity. Even that won’t be an impressive drop, but compared to the last 2-3 weeks, it will be noticeable. That means you won’t find many heat indices over 100 today, and even fewer for most of the rest of the week. By Thursday, cloud cover and rain chances will start creeping in, but it’ll still be another day or so before we’ll be back to our normal afternoon shower chances.

Even once the humidity starts to work its way back in though, the temperature at least will still be playing nicely. Highs could fall as low as the upper 80s by the weekend as rain chances climb slightly above our “summertime 30%,” and they’ll linger in that range for the first few days of next week. The humidity on the other hand will rise again by then, with morning lows climbing back into the upper 70s along with the dewpoint.
