08/12 Ryan’s “Hot & Dry” Wednesday Morning Forecast
We're in for several days of hot and dry weather as we finish of the week.
The last few days have been on the drier side, but it’s getting even more hot and dry as we head through the rest of the week. Today still has a small chance of a shower in the heat of the afternoon, but anything more substantial than a light sprinkle will struggle to form in these dry conditions. High pressure builds in by the end of the week, which will couple with the dry air overhead to keep skies clear and the ground totally dry by Friday. Temperatures keep sliding upward over that time, eventually ending up near 100° by the weekend. That’ll have heat indices around 110°, at least into Heat Advisory territory if not Heat Warning.
For today, expect a high near 95° with light south-southwesterly winds near 10 mph and mostly sunny skies in the afternoon. Today’s heat index will linger near 105° for a few hours, though no Heat Advisories have been issued.
