07/07 Ryan’s “Hot & Rainy” Friday Afternoon Forecast

Good to be back after an nice vacation, but it looks like the hot & humid conditions I left behind are still here! Don’t expect that to change any time soon, though increased cloud cover will bring our highs out of the 90s and back into the upper 80s, but there will be very little “sensible” change outside of areas getting rain. While a front is moving in from the North and expected to push into the area tomorrow afternoon, it still looks like the showers and storms will appear disorganized and “spotty” on the radar, but the added dynamics of the front will raise our severe risk to at least “marginal.” This boundary seems to move over the coastline and stall, leading to increased cloud cover and rain chances well into next week.

Tropical Depression 4 has weakened considerably and lost it’s closed circulation, and is now categorized as a “remnant low”/Tropical wave. It will continue on its West-Northwestward track, but the National Hurricane Center will not issue any more statements unless it re-forms, which is not expected.
