07/31 Ryan’s “Still ‘Cooler'” Thursday Afternoon Forecast

It's still "cooler" out there thanks to afternoon rain, but only compared to the oppressive heat we started the week off with as heat advisories remain.

Another hot one lies ahead for today, but compared to how we started of the week it’s still “cooler” out there. Specifically that means we don’t have any Heat Warnings in place like we did Monday and Tuesday, though Heat Advisories remain active until sunset. So, no more heat indices above 110° for the next several days, but we won’t be far below that mark at any given time. Thankfully, just as we’re heating up today the showers and thunderstorms will start to pop up, giving us random cooler spots for the afternoon, without any problematic showers or thunderstorms expected. Rain chances continue to creep up for Friday, but I expect them to back off slightly for the weekend.
