07/22 Ryan’s “Wishy-Washy” Monday Night Forecast

The weather was quite wishy-washy today! The day started on the stormy side, but it cleared beautifully by lunchtime. There was plenty of sunshine and blue sky, and the afternoon high wasn’t too bad at 86! It didn’t stay clear for long though. Darker clouds were beginning to gather to the northwest as inland storms pushed southward.

THERE WERE A FEW SPOTTY SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS INTO THE EVENING, BUT OVERALL WE WON’T SEE MUCH MORE RAIN FOR THE REST OF THE NIGHT.

Tomorrow is a different story though as a cold front slides toward South MS. I expect we’ll see scattered showers and isolated, weaker thunderstorms, but locally heavy rainfall could be a problem. Some accumulation estimates are as high as 4″, which could pose some small scale flooding issues. Major issues aren’t likely, but remain weather aware for good measure. After the front, we’ll enjoy a few sunny  and drier days as the weekend rolls around. Expect lower humidity and temperatures initially, but more rain moves in before next week begins.
