07/18 – Brantly’s “More Wet Weather” Sunday Night Forecast

The wetter than average summer pattern is expected to continue through the period, and in fact rain chances will be even higher then recent days for much of the short term periods. Temperatures will be held in check each day given expected storm coverage, with lows remaining in the lower to middle 70s and highs in the lower to middle 80s. Some upper 80s are possible over interior portions of the area.

All this should lead to widespread coverage of showers and thunderstorms each day, and the possible greater surface boundary presence/interactions and large scale lifting will keep the rain chances high throughout Monday night as well. At this time, the risk of excessive rainfall appears more on the marginal risk/localized side that does not require a Flash Flood Watch at this time, but that will need to be monitored over the next couple days as the risk could ramp up with this pattern in place.
