07/13 Ryan’s “Rainy” Monday Morning Forecast

Expecting an actual rainy day to start off the week as opposed to a summer day where it just happens to rain.

We’re starting off the week with an actual rainy day with rain more often than not for the first time in the last few weeks. Every day over that time has seen at least some rain in the area, but it’s primarily been due to our day/night coastal cycle and rather spotty. Today’s will still be somewhat spotty, popping up as impulses travel along a lingering frontal boundary, but far more consistent than we have been seeing. That’ll likely lead to some small-scale flooding issues in areas with poor drainage or are particularly low-lying, but otherwise it doesn’t look too problematic. A few thunderstorms are possible, though severe weather is not likely. Try to avoid flooded areas should they develop, and drive slowly on damp, potentially slick roadways as you travel about today.
