06/19 Ryan’s “Slightly Drier” Friday Morning Forecast
We're still seeing rain today, but it will be a little drier than the last few days have been.
Things will be a little drier out there after yesterday’s deluge, but that doesn’t mean we won’t see any rain out there today. We’ve already seen a couple of short-lived and spotty showers with a few more on the way through the afternoon. Still, in terms of frequency and the overall amount of rain we’ll see it will be noticeably drier. This will help with localized flooding issues, but any areas that do see rain today may see those return for a short time. Rivers will also continue to flood over the weekend, only starting to subside as we begin next week.
For today, expect the high to creep back up into the upper 80s/low 90s on the coast with warmer areas inland. Couple that with our high humidity, and heat indices will climb into the low 100s once again today. That’s enough for westernmost counties to see Heat Advisories inching into the area, likely continuing as we officially begin summer Sunday.
