06/17 Ryan’s “Tropical Moisture” Thursday Night Forecast

The last couple of days have been nice and relatively drier, but tropical moisture is rushing back to South MS. It’s already moving in actually, and the cloud cover and rain chances will continue to climb through tomorrow night. That means we won’t see much tonight with only a 20% chance of a stray, outer-band shower along the coast and a warm low near 75.

Tomorrow afternoon will see the arrival of the overcast skies and more frequent showers, as well as the gusting winds.

Still not expecting the “worst” of it until around midnight on Friday, with the potential for heavy rain and coastal/flash flooding issues. There’s still a bit of uncertainty in the forecast since the storm is very disorganized and highly sheared, but it is quite clearly moving close enough to cause issues for us.
