06/11 Ryan’s “Sunny and Dry” Thursday Morning Forecast

Wednesday saw at least a sprinkle further inland, but today is expected to be sunny and even drier.

While yesterday was already dry and sunny, today will be even more so as we continue our short-lived drier trend. While it has rained somewhere in South MS every day for the last several days, Wednesday’s was only a couple of sprinkles up near Wiggins, and I’m expecting no rain in the area today. That’ll set us up for another hot and humid day, though even the humidity backed off a touch since yesterday, but from here we’ll start working our way back into muggy-to-miserable levels of humidity. We’ll also start seeing a return of our afternoon shower activity by the weekend, which will steadily increase as we head into next week.

For today, expect a high near 89 degrees with heat indices reaching the mid 90s on the coastline and sunny skies with light cloud cover.
