05/29 Ryan’s “Muggy” Monday Night Forecast
Our Memorial Day weather was quite active with a few rounds of thunderstorms, a muggy afternoon, and now a showery evening. I expect our evening low to linger around 73 degrees throughout the evening, dropping a bit here and there as 30% scattered showers continue through the night. Tomorrow will be similar with warm and humid conditions remaining in place and afternoon heating likely adding enough instability for a few afternoon storms.
This trend continues nearly every day this week as the the stationary boundary in the Southeast never really leaves the area, and is reinforced by at least three different shortwave troughs swinging around the upper level low near the Great Lakes. Right now, Wednesday and Sunday look to be the days these secondary fronts will cause the most disturbance, but no severe weather looks likely until Sunday, though we’re too far out for any clarity on that developing situation. It remains cloudy next until next Monday, but skies will begin clearing around that time.
