05/21 Ryan’s “Cold Front!” Wednesday Morning Forecast

Finally getting a cold front through the area, bringing a bit of rain...but not much else.

It feels like it’s been months since I could say this, but we’re finally getting a cold front to pass through South Mississippi today. In fact, as I write this it’s already through, but is starting to transition into a stalled boundary, bringing a few showers and thunderstorms with it. The air is drying out nicely though, with inland dewpoints falling into the upper 50s by noon, which is “pleasant” amounts of humidity, while the coastline has fallen into the 60s…about where it should be. That’s about where it stops though, as that stalling boundary will pull a bit northward, bringing back dewpoints in the 70s as early as the weekend.
