05/19 – Brantly’s “Windy” Wednesday Morning Forecast

A Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect for Harrison and Jackson Counties until midnight tonight and a Coastal Flood Warning is in effect for Hancock County. Also, Wind Advisory for all of our coastal counties in effect from 9 AM this morning to 4 PM this afternoon.

The main heavy rainfall axis should slowly begin to shift back to the west toward Texas over the next few days but will be stubborn to do so as a strengthening system begins to exert greater influence over the Gulf Coast area. Along with somewhat drier conditions, temperatures will also begin to warm as high pressure builds in with highs warming from the upper 70s and lower 80s into the mid 80s. Any thunderstorm activity will be largely be during the late morning through the afternoon Thursday and Friday with most of the activity diminishing in the evening hours.
