05/06 – Rob Knight’s “Dry and Breezy” Wednesday Morning Forecast
This morning will bring clearing skies as the cold front to the south continues to move away from south Mississippi. A tightening gradient will bring windy conditions from the north at times gusting into the upper teen to low 20 mph range. With the north wind VERY LOW HUMIDITY will move in and expected to drop into the danger zone (20% range). Any kind of burring could get out of control very quickly with the low humidity and strong winds. Winds will relax this evening with clear skies overnight. Pleasant conditions can be expected through Friday with an area of high-pressure to the NW moving overhead by Friday morning then to the east Friday afternoon.
An approaching cold front will bring the humid flow back to the area as early as Thursday night. The front will become more elongated late Friday afternoon as it approaches south Mississippi. Although a few t-storms will be in the area, the majority of activity will be in the form of showers Friday evening into Saturday morning. Clearing skies will being around midday Saturday with pleasant conditions Mother’s day into early next week.
