04/30 Ryan’s “More Rain” Thursday Morning Forecast

We have more rain ahead today, but looking like we'll see fewer strong thunderstorms.

We’ll see more rain ahead today after a stormy end to Wednesday when severe weather moved into South Mississippi. We have a chance of seeing thunderstorms today, but the risk  of severe weather is significantly lower than yesterday’s. That doesn’t mean it’s zero though, so as always it’s good practice to have a way to get warnings such as our app should one be issued. Overall though, today will be about off and on showers with a few thunderstorms mixed in. We’ll see light rain with heavier pockets mixed in, moving left-to-right across South Mississippi. This could lead to “training” storms continuing along the same location, leading to at least some flooding potential…especially in areas that saw significant rain yesterday.

As far as the temperature goes, expect some slight cooling compared to yesterday this afternoon as we drop towards 80, with a much cooler night near 60 ahead thanks to all the rain-cooled air.
