04/02 Ryan’s “Drier” Thursday Morning Forecast

Expect a drier afternoon after our rain peaked yesterday, though it comes back for the weekend.

Yesterday was our wettest day of the workweek as we saw more, heavier showers and thunderstorms, but today will be drier ahead of weekend rain ahead. A few showers may still fall in our westernmost counties, especially near the state line, but the rest of the area isn’t likely to see a drop. Friday will continue the drier trend, though the clouds will build back quickly as a front pushes in for the weekend.

Temperature-wise it was still warmer than it should be and more humid, with a low near 68 degrees and a little more patchy areas of light fog than what we saw yesterday. This afternoon’s high will stay on the warm side as well, with an expected high near 79 degrees and partly cloudy skies. That means a bit more sun today, and a slight increase in the UV index from yesterday’s 5 to today’s 7. Allergens are still on the high-to-very high side, with tree pollen remaining the main offender.
