03/28 – Brantly’s “Cool and Cloudy” Sunday Night Forecast

Dry conditions over the area are expected to continue through the day Monday. Lows overnight will be cooler in the wake of the front and range from the lower 40s well inland to around 50 at the coast. Highs on Monday will be in the upper 60s to lower 70s.

High pressure to our northeast slides off the East Coast in the Monday night into early Tuesday timeframe, keeping the local area mostly dry with an easterly to southeasterly wind. Meanwhile, the front stalled over the Gulf begins to lift north. Isolated showers will slide into the coastal areas overnight with an increase in coverage of showers and storms by Tuesday morning and afternoon as the warm front continues to lift north through the area. The area may dry out for a brief period of time on Tuesday night before coverage increases again after midnight ahead of the next cold front. The cold front should slide into the northwestern portion of the area by late Wednesday morning
