03/15 – Brantly’s “More Heat Monday” Sunday Forecast
Near the surface, a ridge of high pressure will develop along the eastern seaboard on Monday. This will result in a light northerly wind flow developing overnight, followed by a light southerly wind flow redeveloping on Monday.
A dry weather pattern will persist through the near term as upper ridging remains over the northern Gulf Coast and Deep South. Patchy fog will be possible again late tonight, mainly along and near the coast.
Temperatures will remain well above normal for this time of the year. Lows tonight will be primarily in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Highs on Monday should reach the lower to mid 80s over the interior areas, and in the mid to upper 70s along the coast.
Rain chances increase to 20-30% across the area through the day Tuesday. Enough instability looks to be present as well to support a couple of thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon. The best rain chances appear to be north of I-10.
