02/25 – Rob Knight’s “Cloudy” Fat Tuesday Forecast

A low pressure system is now to the east with areas of patchy dense fog.

A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect through mid-morning. Cloud coverage will continue through Wednesday when a secondary frontal system is expected to move through the region and cleanse the atmosphere.

With the passage of the frontal systems by mid- week: low temperatures are expected to be cooler Thursday and Friday mornings. Some locations will expect temperatures below or approaching freezing these mornings due to strong cold air advection into the area.

High pressure will build in over the area after Wednesday. Upper level subsidence will help to promote a stable atmosphere and sinking air into the environment. As a result, sunshine and slowly modifying temperatures are expected through the weekend.
