02/23 Ryan’s “Winter Returns” Monday Morning Forecast

Winter returns to South Mississippi after a long period of more spring-like weather.

Winter returns to South Mississippi for a short time before things warm up all over again. We’ll start this week off with some much more seasonally appropriate weather, with coastal lows falling to the mid 30s this morning. A few inland areas fell to freezing, and with the 10+ mph breeze worked in wind chills were as low as the 20s! That’s over a twenty degree drop from where lows have been trending the last few weeks, so a notable change to say the least. This afternoon will be on the cool side as well with highs climbing only into the mid 50s with sunny skies. The wind will remain brisk, so don’t expect it to feel any warmer than the mid-to-upper 40s at any point. Tomorrow morning will be even cooler, downright frosty with lows falling below freezing with clear skies and calm winds.
