02/23 Ryan’s “Wet & Humid” Friday Night Forecast

Clouds and showers moved in as expected this afternoon, but didn’t do anything to cool us off as we broke or tied yet another high temperature record, and more wet conditions will move in later.. Showers will continue through the evening, but will taper off as we head into the overnight hours. Tomorrow afternoon will be partly sunny, but rain chances will begin increasing through the late afternoon and into the night. A cold front will finally be approaching the area, and will pass through before noon on Sunday. This will bring at least a “marginal” threat of severe weather into South Mississippi from late Saturday into Sunday afternoon, and thunderstorms could linger as late as Monday. Severe weather risks include short lived tornadoes, small hail, and potentially damaging winds. Conditions begin to clear up through the middle of the week, and by Friday I’m expecting mostly sunny skies.
