02/16 Ryan’s “Breaking Records” Friday Night Forecast

With today’s high of 82 degrees, we’re continuing our trend of breaking records…high temperature records. 77 degrees was the previous high set in 1982, and it’s looking likely we’ll beat tomorrow’s record of 75 set in 1954 by around 2 degrees if my forecast validates. The sudden, but slight, drop in temperature is due to a weak front moving through the area tonight, but almost as soon as it moves through we’ll end up in the warm sector of a new frontal system, and the warm and humid trend begins anew. Every day this week will linger in the mid-to-upper 80s, and while rain chances remain low they do spike to around 40% on Monday and Wednesday as frontal boundaries linger, break down, and new ones move in.
