‘Yummy: a Celebration of Color’ art exhibit

A brand new art exhibit premiered in Biloxi tonight with a splash of vibrant colors.

‘Yummy: a Celebration of Color’ highlights around 45 different pieces of art featuring the colors red and purple, including paintings, ceramic works, and pottery.

Organized by art groups ‘Local Creatives’ and ‘Believe in Art Gulf Coast,’ all artwork displayed was for sale and proceeds raised from the event go back to the two groups to support local artists in the community. Event Curator Sarah Qarqish said, “We live off of our artwork, so it’s very important to continue to support those who are like us and that’s why we started ‘Local Creatives’ so we could have a group who we understand the struggle together and we can help each other and the business aspect of what we do.”
