Yul’s Place to be featured on America’s Best Restaurants

BILOXI: – Local restaurant Yul’s Place will be hosting a visit from America’s Best Restaurants (ABR) in early December 2024.
America’s Best Restaurants, a national media and marketing company focusing on bringing attention to local, independently-owned restaurants, will bring its ABR Roadshow to the restaurant on December 4th. Popular dishes will be highlighted, along with an extensive on-camera interview with owner Yul Grace about the restaurant’s special place in the community. The episode will be aired extensively on social media channels at a later date.
Grace honed his skills as a boil master after joining a friend who ran the popular Ole Biloxi Fillin Station, quitting his full time job to “learn the crawfish world.” He eventually took over that restaurant and opened Yul’s Place in 2021, in a building meant to be a bait shop and kayak rental, offering seafood and picturesque views of Biloxi’s Back Bay.
These days Yul’s Place is also accessible by boat, as it is raised on pilings. They offer daily lunch specials, signature cocktails, and events such as Taco Trivia Tuesdays and Concert On The Causeway, a monthly fundraiser featuring live music.
Popular menu items that may be featured on the episode include the smoked burger, served with baked beans and potato salad; the fish plate, hand-battered filets deep fried with Creole seasoning; and the fried basket combo, fish and shrimp hand-battered and fried and served with French fries, hushpuppies and slaw. Signature cocktails, from tropical margaritas to the Causeway Sunset, are also popular.
America’s Best Restaurants will be filming on location on Wednesday December 4th from 9 am to noon CST. The press is invited to attend. The restaurant’s finished episode premiere date will be announced on their Facebook page and will be featured on America’s Best Restaurants’ website at https://americasbestrestaurants.com/rests/mississippi/yulsplace.
