Youth for Christ holds breakfast ahead of National Day of Prayer

GULFPORT, Miss.(WXXV)-Youth for Christ hosted a third annual special breakfast to help promote the upcoming National Day of Prayer.

During this event, attendees engaged in scripture readings and discussions about the significance of coming together in prayer.

The Mississippi Gulf Coast Area Chapter of Youth for Christ is led by Director Brad Holt and offers various ministries aimed at supporting young people through pivotal moments in their lives. Gulfport Coordinator Genendal Fratantuono said, “This is the third year and we come and eat together and encourage them about the National Day of Prayer event and pray together, it’s really worthwhile. I think it’s one of the keys to the Kingdom that the Father has given us, the ability to pray to a God who hears and answers and the scripture says when we pray there are golden bowls in heaven that God gathers our prayers into those bowls and at the appointed time they are answered. Just to think that he hears my prayer, he takes them seriously, he acts on them and even uses angels to fulfill the answers. It’s just a wonderful thing to pray.”

National Day of Prayer will be Thursday, May 1st this year.
