WXXV teams up with Memorial Health System to host community job fair

WXXV and Memorial Health System teamed up to host a community job fair featuring a variety of companies from across the Gulf Coast.

The fair lasted from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Gulf Coast Events Center on Highway 49 just south of I-10 in Gulfport.

Job seekers are learning more about the companies looking to hire, their mission, and benefits they can offer.

The City of Gulfport was a part of today’s job fair with career opportunities in the police and fire departments.

Casinos and Memorial Health System are also looking to fill numerous job positions. Memorial Health System Workforce Development Manager Leanna Morgan Saucier said, “It’s been challenging for health care coming out of COVID with jobs and job turnovers, so we’re here today just wanting to get out in the community and reach everyone. We have plenty of positions available, not just nursing, but all careers, so we’re hiring entry level, all the way up to higher level positions for those in the community and we’re hoping to reach people that we don’t normally get to see.”

If you weren’t able to attend in person, applications for some businesses are available online.
