WXXV News 25’s Austin Lindsey speaks with MS Forestry Commission on brush fire in Harrison County

If you are driving in Harrison County, you’re sure to see smoke in the air from yesterday’s brush fire.

WXXV News 25’s Austin Lindsey has the latest update on the fire.

Currently, the fire is over 800 acres at 25 percent contained. Crews are trying to contain the blaze by using bulldozers and other tools. U.S Fire Services, Mississippi Forestry Commission, and local fire departments are working the blaze.

Officials are asking residents to stay off Carson Road right now to make sure they don’t impede any firefighter’s movement.
